Two-Night Gals Getaway in Aquebogue, NY
Friday: A two-hour drive from Glen Rock, NJ, will land you at the lovely Aqua Beach Hotel in Aquebogue, NY, conveniently located near the villages of the Hamptons and the North Fork. In the Fall, the atmosphere is tranquil, plus way more affordable than in the summer months. It’s an adults-only spot right on the water, giving you a gorgeous view of Peconic Bay. The sunsets there were absolutely breathtaking!
Saturday: In the morning, the hotel surprises you with a lovely basket right at your door, packed with delicious breakfast treats and coffee. Then, in the evenings, you can enjoy S’mores Under The Stars with a cozy open fire.
We kicked things off at RG|NY, just a quick 10-minute drive from our hotel. The winery and its grounds were breathtaking—definitely one of the prettiest wineries I've ever visited. They have a full menu and all the cheese board must-haves. I recommend making a reservation online; it’s worth it! Even in November, this place was buzzing with activity. We got super lucky with the weather too!
The stunning RG|NY winery and the gals.
After RG|NY, we made our way to Woodside Orchards. They've been making all sorts of hard ciders since 2012. At this orchard, you can choose between two tasting flight sizes: 4 or 6. We decided to go for the full 6 cider options. There is no reservations here. This time of year, we easily found a table to relax and enjoy our drinks. And seriously, don’t forget to grab a bag of their warm cider donuts before you leave. They’re absolutely amazing!
Sunday: We made our way to McCall Winery, and it was absolutely stunning and serene. The property is home to cattle, and witnessing the cows grazing near the vineyard provided a unique experience. They offer a tasting flight of three wines, plus options to get wines by the glass or bottle. You can also find a variety of artisanal cheeses and charcuterie to enjoy with your wine.
