A Weekend Trip to Cape May

One of the things I love about New Jersey is its beautiful beach towns, and Cape May is definitely at the top of my list. This place is famous for its charming historic homes and gorgeous downtown area, packed with cute boutiques, cafes, and restaurants. Cape May also has some amazing wineries, and I can't forget to mention my absolute favorite spot, the Beach Plum Farm.

A few friends and I decided to take a break and head to Cape May in May 2023, and it was fantastic! The hotel rates were still low before the summer rush, making it an ideal getaway. We had a blast shopping and dining at beautiful restaurants, which is a treat you miss out on when the kids are around. The highlight? Just enjoying our time at a leisurely pace.

The Virginia Hotel

We stayed in the Garden Suite of The White Cottage. A cozy retreat with a living room, kitchenette, and beautiful garden.

We had a great time unwinding with tasty dinners, sipping cocktails at Congress Hall, enjoying wine tastings at Willow and Creek Winery & Farm, and hunting for deals while shopping.

My favorite boutiques:

Cash and Olive - 321 Washington Street

Bella - 315 Ocean Street

Tommy’s Folly Boutique - 302 Washington Street

This trip was incredible! We had an awesome time, and I’m looking forward to the next adventure.
